The stability of fructose 1,6 diphosphate was studied in three formulations of Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) with binary combination, without the addition of lipidic emulsion Fructose 1,6 diphosphate with a concentration of 60 Meq /L was added to samples taken in a steril manner from TPN admistures in EVA bags. Samples were kept at 5°C for 60 days and at day 0-15-30-45-60, the stability was detected with NMR 31P. On the basis of the chemical shift of the resonances, we observed that no modification was ever evaluated either of concentration or of chemical composition for the fructose 1,6 diphosphate structure. Therefore we can affirm that fructose 1,6 diphospate has a good stability in TPN admistures for 60 days at 5°C. The chemical compositon of fructose 1,6 diphosphate was observed to be stable also in critical conditions (light, room temperature and pH=8,8) for further 30 days.
