The theme of this essay is that of the relationship between the digital transition, understood as the development of the digital society, and environmental protection. After discussing the thesis according to which the digital transition would by definition also favor the green transition, the article analyzes the action of the Von der Leyen Commission, focusing attention on the declination of the principle of environmental protection in the so-called. European Digital Pack.

Il tema di questo saggio è quello del rapporto tra la transizione digitale, intesa come sviluppo della società digitale, e la tutela dell’ambiente. Dopo aver discusso la tesi per cui la transizione digitale favorirebbe per definizione anche la transizione green, l'articolo analizza l'azione della Commissione Von der Leyen centrando l'attenzione sulla declinazione del principio di tutela ambientale nel cd. pacchetto digitale europeo.
