During the years of the economic miracle, the Italian landscape undergoes a profound transformation. Through articles and poetic compositions, Attilio Bertolucci repeatedly dwells on the «destruction of nature» and the «slow ruin of agriculture» that characterise this period. The paper considers these intersections between Bertolucci’s works and the ecological theme, highlighting their most significant implications. The transformation of the landscape determines enunciative and formal innovations in the poems and at the same time requires the author to rethink the function of poetry, its relationship with reality, and its bond to the Romantic tradition. Bertolucci’s secluded position, distant from the fashion of «catastrophic» poetry, proves to be central to questioning these matters.

Abstract
During the years of the economic miracle, the Italian landscape undergoes a profound transformation. Through articles and poetic compositions, Attilio Bertolucci repeatedly dwells on the «destruction of nature» and the «slow ruin of agriculture» that characterise this period. The paper considers these intersections between Bertolucci’s works and the ecological theme, highlighting their most significant implications. The transformation of the landscape determines enunciative and formal innovations in the poems and at the same time requires the author to rethink the function of poetry, its relationship with reality, and its bond to the Romantic tradition. Bertolucci’s secluded position, distant from the fashion of «catastrophic» poetry, proves to be central to questioning these matters.Pubblicazioni consigliate
