n this work the attention is paid to the optimisation of the formulation of ammonia synthesis catalysts based on ruthemium and supported over active carbons. The effect of the graphitization of carbon on its stability under the reaction conditions have been studied. Graphitization was done by high temperature treatment of C (1800-2000°C) and the formation of CH4 my carbon methanation resulted effectively suppressed by such high temperature treatment.
