In this work the attention is paid to the optimisation of the formulation of ammonia synthesis catalysts based on ruthemium and supported over active carbons. The effect of the addition of promoters (alkali and alkali-eacrth is considered together to the loading of Ru. Ru as low as 4 wt% revealed the highest activity, halving the values commonly reported in the literature.

Abstract
