The respiratory syndrome of the brachycephalic dog represents a serious condition that can significantly interfere with the normal ventilation and thermoregulation capacities of these animals. The aerogen flow obstructions generated at different levels are the result of a genetic selection that led to the exacerbation of thebrachycephalism morphological characteristics. Abstract

An approach to rational revision of the literature is attempted by trying to underline the elements that have been definitively demonstrated to allow to propose a meditated approach to the brachycephalic patient.
