The 5′ end of a gene (GLT4) encoding a human insulin-responsive glucose transporter was isolated from a human λFix genomic library and sequenced. The human sequence, as compared to the mouse GLT4 promoter [Kaestner et al., Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. USA 87 (1990) 251-255], revealed an overall homology of 81%. Putative transcription controlling sequences were identified.

Abstract
The 5′ end of a gene (GLT4) encoding a human insulin-responsive glucose transporter was isolated from a human λFix genomic library and sequenced. The human sequence, as compared to the mouse GLT4 promoter [Kaestner et al., Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. USA 87 (1990) 251-255], revealed an overall homology of 81%. Putative transcription controlling sequences were identified.File in questo prodotto:
