La biblioteca di Giuseppe Parini all'ombra dei Lumi

The article focuses on the library of Giuseppe Parini, gone dispersed and therefore investigated starting from the precious inventory of books found among the poet’s personal documents. Even with the necessary interpretative precautions, since the document portrays the constitution of this library at a precise moment, thus emerges a small library devoted to the classics, especially Italian and Latin, which allows better profiling of the cultural traits of the poet professor. The set of books passed in the hands of the poet had to be quite different, as it is showed in the article; the many absences had to be compensated in various ways, in the first place through the richly provided Library of Brera.
