UK101 extracted from normal goat liver consists of a glycoprotein of 50kDa and two proteins of 10 and 14kDa (UK110 and UK114), respectively. The biochemical methods described in our report allowed us to obtain UK110 and UK114 at an high degree of purity. UK110 was localized in cytoplasm and nucleus and its biochemical characteristics revealed a remarkable similarity with ubiquitin. UK114 was localized at the level of cyplasm and it did not seem to be a protein known so far.
