Movecare consists in a combination of different technologies based on artificial intelligence: - Everyday smart objects: providing pervasive but unobtrusive monitoring that will recognize movement or actions suggesting decline - Virtual Caregiver: embodied in a service robot (Giraff) suggesting and leading physical, cognitive, or social games and activities. It will encourage activity and entertain while again monitoring for possible decline or problems. - Social network: by supporting and strengthening the older person’s social networks, the system will sustain social contact. The Virtual Community is “partecipaMI” [13] and already involves about 7000 people. The main objective of this feasibility study is testing the Movecare platform in a real-word setting to: 1. Improve the precision of the system by discovering eventual hardware or software errors 2. Security of the system 3. Acceptability and compliance to the system by the users 4. Design of suitable outcome measures
