Certain technical details are considered important to ease the laparoscopic performance of a Heller myotomy combined with a Dor antireflux procedure for esophageal achalasia. A special emphasis is given to intraoperative esophagoscopy combined with a mild balloon distension of the esophagogastric junction. These maneuvers prove helpful in identifying the esophagogastric region, easing the myotomy, and controlling its completeness.

Abstract
Certain technical details are considered important to ease the laparoscopic performance of a Heller myotomy combined with a Dor antireflux procedure for esophageal achalasia. A special emphasis is given to intraoperative esophagoscopy combined with a mild balloon distension of the esophagogastric junction. These maneuvers prove helpful in identifying the esophagogastric region, easing the myotomy, and controlling its completeness.Pubblicazioni consigliate
