Swellable/erodible hydroxypropyl cellulose (HPC)-based capsular devices for pulsatile release were prepared by injection molding (IM) using a purposely-devised mold and a newly set up manufacturing process. As compared with previous IM systems of the same composition, such capsules demonstrated improved closure mechanism, technological properties, especially in terms of reproducibility of the shell thickness, and release performance.

Abstract
Swellable/erodible hydroxypropyl cellulose (HPC)-based capsular devices for pulsatile release were prepared by injection molding (IM) using a purposely-devised mold and a newly set up manufacturing process. As compared with previous IM systems of the same composition, such capsules demonstrated improved closure mechanism, technological properties, especially in terms of reproducibility of the shell thickness, and release performance.Pubblicazioni consigliate
