A frontal bone (St.n.166623) of Neanderthal morphology, nicknamed "Pàus", was recently found in Italy, on a sand bar of the Po river, near the confluence with the Adda river (Spinadesco, CR), probably carried by the current from upstream Middle-Late Pleistocene deposits. The very abundant fossils found in the past in this area are mainly characterized by Ice Age faunal remains (e.g., Mammuthus primigenius, Megaloceros giganteus, Stephanorhinus kirchbergensis, Elephas antiquus).

Abstract
A frontal bone (St.n.166623) of Neanderthal morphology, nicknamed "Pàus", was recently found in Italy, on a sand bar of the Po river, near the confluence with the Adda river (Spinadesco, CR), probably carried by the current from upstream Middle-Late Pleistocene deposits. The very abundant fossils found in the past in this area are mainly characterized by Ice Age faunal remains (e.g., Mammuthus primigenius, Megaloceros giganteus, Stephanorhinus kirchbergensis, Elephas antiquus).Pubblicazioni consigliate
