The analysis of 710 published documents has allowed the author to trace in outline the history of the local notary and to identify some clerics who work among the notaries for the institution in the second half of the thirteenth century.

Il contributo è incentrato sulla documentazione della basilica di San Vittore di Varese degli anni 899-1289 edita in tre volumi da Luisa Zagni. L’analisi dei 710 documenti pubblicati ha consentito di tracciare a grandi linee la storia del notariato locale e di individuare tra i notai che lavorano per l’ente nella seconda metà del secolo XIII alcuni notai-chierici. The contribution focuses on the documentation of the basilica of San Vittore in Varese during the years 899-1289 and published in three volumes by Luisa Zagni.
