The purpose of this study is to describe a particular diagnostic and therapeutic method for the correction of open-bite skeletal Class III malocclusion. The treatment, at the end of growth, consists of presurigical-orthodontic preparation, whose aims are dental alignment, decompensation and production of compatible arch forms; post-surgery correction of tridimensional maxilla-mandibular relationships, final orthodontic correction then follows. The most original procedure described in this work s the useo f electromyography and kinesiography at the beginning and of treatment to reach a correct diagnosis, to value the efficacy of the therapy, to eliminate reasons for relapse and TMJ dysfunction appearance. The success of orthodontic-surgical therapy can be obtained by the elimination of the muscular forces on the teeth, so the problem of relapse become minimum. Everyday, with the help of electromyography and kinosiography we can place the jawbone both orthodontically and surgically in a muscular and articular position, compatible with the dental occlusion.
