Tinea faciei is a dermatophytosis of the glabrous skin of the face that typically manifests itself with rounded, erythematous and scaling patches with well-defined margins and partial healing in the central area of the patch itself. Diagnosis is not always easy. Indeed, patients with this mycosis frequently have an atypical clinical presentation mimicking other conditions. Here is reported a familial case of "tinea faciei", the youngest patient being aged 2 and a half months. Tricophyton mentagrophytes was responsible for the infection.

Diagnosis is not always easy. Indeed, patients with this mycosis frequently have an atypical clinical presentation mimicking other conditions. Here is reported a familial case of "tinea faciei", the youngest patient being aged 2 and a half months. Tricophyton mentagrophytes was responsible for the infection.Pubblicazioni consigliate
