The aim of this work is to evaluate the reliability of the laparoscopic via left paralumbar fossain LDA diagnostic work-up and furtherlyto asses its usefullnessin early controversial cases. A series of 13 cows with provisional diagnosis of LDA underwent laparoscopy via paralumbar fossa. Recurrent LDA was suspected in 5 cases and early LDA ping negativa in the remaining 8 cases. Left abomasal displacementwas laparoscopically confirmed in 10 out the 13 cows. According to the results of our study, laparoscopy might be considered a succesfull method in detecting ping negative LDA allowing en early treatment of this lesion.
