The metal-hydrogen vibrational frequencies of μ-bridging hydride ligands of the rhenium cluster hydride anions [Re3(μ-H)4(CO)10]2-, [Re3(μ-H)3(CO)10]2-, [Re3(μ-H)(CO)10]-, [Re3(μ-H)3(μ-O2CH)(CO)10]- and [Re3(μ-H)3(μ3-OEt)(CO)9]- are assigned in the infrared and in the Raman (of the first four compounds) and are shown to be characteristics of the bridge environment.
