Rosso Malpelo’s actions are set either in the darkness of the subterranean and labyrinth-like hole represented by the strip mine, or in the black and desert-like ‘sciara’ all over the mine. Lonely and erratic existence of horse keeper Jeli during his teenage is instead set mainly en plein air, and is located within the breath of a natural never ending environment, animated by a plenty of animal and vegetable lives. The author often provides such environment with a splendid and fairy tale mood. Apparently, therefore, the eidetic-visual level represents the principal and of course wilfully highlighted difference between the two novels, the sauce of the which presents instead significant and non-casual common elements. For both novels the eidetc-visual level and the sound-phonetic level (cacophony in RM and harmonic musicality Jeli) seems to feature an organic correspondence and a similar expressive dignity. The study on the other hand demonstrates that in Jeli, while not in RM, it is strong the clash between the literary sense level and the two levels, harmonized one to the other, eidetic-visual and sound-phonetic. eidetic-visual level has not a pair value to this latter one, as it instead has in RM: eidetic level of Jeli was realised as subordinated and ancillary to the sound-phonetic level.

Abstract
The study on the other hand demonstrates that in Jeli, while not in RM, it is strong the clash between the literary sense level and the two levels, harmonized one to the other, eidetic-visual and sound-phonetic. eidetic-visual level has not a pair value to this latter one, as it instead has in RM: eidetic level of Jeli was realised as subordinated and ancillary to the sound-phonetic level.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
