La nudità nel Decameron

The article is dedicated to the theme of nudity in the Decameron. Relevant passages from the frame narrative are examined first, followed by those from the novellas. Contrary to what one might expect, in the book the motif of nudity is not very widespread. When it does appear, Boccaccio mostly leaves room for the reader’s imagination by not dwelling on the details. Most of the nude scenes are connected to the theme of violence; in other cases, they serve to convey the naturalness of erotic impulses

L’articolo è dedicato alla nudità del Decameron. Prima vengono esaminati i passi della cornice e poi quelli delle novelle. Contrariamente a quanto ci si potrebbe aspettare, nel libro il motivo della nudità non è molto diffuso e quando compare Boccaccio lascia per lo più spazio all’immaginazione del lettore evitando di indugiare sui particolari. La maggior parte delle scene di nudo è connessa al tema della violenza, in altre esse sono funzionali a esprimere la naturalezza delle pulsioni erotiche.
