This paper reports on the current trends in research related to the teaching and learning of calculus within Thematic Working Group 25 (TWG25) at CERME14, as well as the development of research in this field, particularly in the context of interac tions between mathematics and other disciplines. We explore the challenges related to conceptual understanding, formaliza tion, institutional constraints, and interdisciplinary applications. We highlight innovative task designs, technological tools, and implications for teaching practices in diverse educational contexts.
