French Discourse Analysis Confronted to Interdisciplinarity: Translation Choices and Issues in Du discours comme champ au corpus comme terrain by Julien LonghiThis paper aims to discuss some translation strategies and choices made to render for Italian readers Julien Longhi’s book, Du discours comme champ au corpus comme terrain, linking them to the intrinsic interdisciplinary nature of the book, which adopts a number of approaches, branches, methodologies and disciplines into the second-generation analyse du discours française. Therefore, after a presentation of the interdisciplinary contents and the theoretical-meth-odological advances of Longhi’s book (§ 2), we will first address some transla-tion challenges related to linguistic and terminological elements (§ 3.1), largely due precisely to the aforementioned interdisciplinarity, and then some other considerations related to cultural specificities (§§ 3.2, 3.3).
