“Vos amis notaires vous répondent” – Popularising Legal Knowledge for Citizens on the Notaires.fr Website

The present contribution aims at analysing the communication that the French Notaries’ Association sets up to popularise notarial knowledge for citizens’ legal needs. The study will focus on the simplification of notarial concepts and procedures, as constructed in notaires.fr webpages through three channels: different reformulating and defining strategies of specialised terms; a Lexique gathering some terminology considered as fundamental for textual developments; videos summarising news about a specific institution or offering expert answers to specific questions.
