Sulla semantica del 'libro' in Boccaccio

The essay is dedicated to the semantics of the book in Boccaccio, with reference to his experience as a copyist-publisher and the centrality of the book form in his poetics. The importance of copying Dante's works and of reflecting on Dante's own definitions is underlined, to arrive at formulations used for his own works, from the minor ones to the Decameron. The latter has a title and a subtitle that convey two different images of the book chosen by the author.

Il saggio è dedicato alla semantica del libro in Boccaccio, con riferimento alla sua esperienza di copista-editore e alla centralità della forma-libro nella sua poetica. Si sottolinea l'importanza dell'attività di copia delle opere dantesche, e della riflessione sulle stesse definizioni di Dante, per pervenire a formulazioni utilizzate per le proprie opere, dalle minori al Decameron. Quest'ultimo dotato di un titolo e un sottotitolo che veicolano due immagini diverse di libro trascelte dall'autore.
