CULTURAL WELFARE indicates a new integrated model for promoting the wellbeing and health of individuals and communities, through practices based on visual and performing arts and cultural heritage. Emotional and cognitive aspects must be considered together to explain the effects of Museums on Health. The museum experience is complex in itself, it is difficult to distinguish the effects of single elements (e.g., an artwork). Future research should study how to tailor healthy experiences to specific subjective needs and cognitive/emotional characteristics.

Abstract
CULTURAL WELFARE indicates a new integrated model for promoting the wellbeing and health of individuals and communities, through practices based on visual and performing arts and cultural heritage. Emotional and cognitive aspects must be considered together to explain the effects of Museums on Health. The museum experience is complex in itself, it is difficult to distinguish the effects of single elements (e.g., an artwork). Future research should study how to tailor healthy experiences to specific subjective needs and cognitive/emotional characteristics.Pubblicazioni consigliate
