Ucraina: la realtà della guerra e le incognite della pace

The article focuses on Ukrainian fears regarding the peace negotiations that seem to be opening under the banner of renewed dialogue between the USA and Russia, which currently see Ukraine and the European Union in a subor-dinate position. Despite the European Union’s renewed support for Ukraine, it is not clear how the promised aid will materialize and, above all, for how long. Russian intransigence, the rumored partition plans that seem to be taking shape, and the insistence on the “artificiality” of Ukraine all suggest solutions that will penalize the country. The question of the genesis of the decision of the Ukrainians, and of their president Volodymyr Zelens’kyj, to take up arms from the beginning of the invasion is then briefly retraced, tracing its roots in Ukraine’s peculiar past.
