This presentation will illustrate an exploratory analysis of how creative economy imaginaries can also transform the perceived identity of a place, to the point of triggering new urban processes of place renaming and transformations. In particular, it will focus on how these processes have a deep economic and social impact, including cooperation and conflict among different categories of inhabitants and signs of gentrification processes.
