This paper concentrates on reformulation markers in judicial argumentation and, more particularly, in a parallel corpus of French judgements issued by the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJUE_Fr) and translated into Italian (CJUE_It) and Romanian (CJUE_Roum). These are primarily directive and argumentative texts. To the extent that reformulation markers have a strong explanatory power and can significantly contribute to achieve clarity, we will be dealing with the occurrence and uses of three major categories: (i) inclusion or membership markers, (ii) linking markers that signal equivalences between definiendum and definiens within definitions, and (iii) markers that introduce explanatory exemplification (Preite 2020: 24). Importantly, qualitative data analysis shall enable us to investigate the translation strategies adopted as a first step, and, second, to discuss and assess the impact that French procedural language might have on Italian and Romanian procedural language.

Abstract
Importantly, qualitative data analysis shall enable us to investigate the translation strategies adopted as a first step, and, second, to discuss and assess the impact that French procedural language might have on Italian and Romanian procedural language.Pubblicazioni consigliate
