The structural and metamorphic evolution recorded in the contact aureoles of the Biella and Traversella Plutons, intruding the Sesia Lanzo Zone, allowed us to envisage a shallow crustal level of emplacement for both intrusions, to highlight the different extent of the two metamorphic aureoles and to separate the pre- from the post-intrusive tectonic history.
