Gli ebrei d’Ucraina fra cambiamenti sociali e religiosi nell’Impero russo dell’Ottocento

In the framework of a concise analysis of the situation of the Jews who found themselves included in the Tsarist Empire with the partition of Poland, with particular attention to the Jews of Ukraine, the article aims to analyze more closely some relevant moments to understand the dynamics internal to the Jewish world during the nineteenth century, between conservation and modernization in the context of a legal and social structure that conditioned its possibility of insertion into the Russian reality, which in many ways was also in the process of transformation.
