Art made with artificial intelligence (AI) has been raising many questions lately. This paper will address the possibility for AI not so much of making art on its own, but rather of collaborating with humans in order to make it, becoming a kind of interlocutor. To investigate this, it may be particularly useful to consider the domain of theatre. In fact, AI has always had a special connec- tion with theatre since its beginning, because it simulates human behavior in different ways. Yet there is also a second connection with theatre, which consists in the dialogic character of new types of AI, such as chatGPT. Therefore, two experiments of theatre made with AI will be ex- amined, in order to draw some philosophical hypotheses from them. The first will be the play It’s time to fight reality once more, by Liina Keevallic, who decided to train her AI on Chekhov’s dramas. The second will be the shows by the group Improbotics, in which human actors and AI improvise together on the scene.

Abstract
The second will be the shows by the group Improbotics, in which human actors and AI improvise together on the scene.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
