PRISMA is a technology mission primarily aimed at demonstrating different technologies and guidance/navigation strategies for Rendezvous (RVD) and coarse Formation Flying (FF) in space. Techno System Developments (TSDev) is contributing to PRISMA developing a high-resolution video system based on an optical unit and related video management unit, that will be located on-board the Main Spacecraft; it will be used to acquire video sequences mainly during in-orbit maneuvers or images for Earth observation. This paper provides a description of the video system and its operating modes.

Abstract

PRISMA is a technology mission primarily aimed at demonstrating different technologies and guidance/navigation strategies for Rendezvous (RVD) and coarse Formation Flying (FF) in space. Techno System Developments (TSDev) is contributing to PRISMA developing a high-resolution video system based on an optical unit and related video management unit, that will be located on-board the Main Spacecraft; it will be used to acquire video sequences mainly during in-orbit maneuvers or images for Earth observation. This paper provides a description of the video system and its operating modes.
