A therapist relies on his/her experience and knowledge to define the most suitable rehabilitation program for the patient and tune it on the actual patient status. Here we propose a non-intrusive method, based on AR, which allows to provide therapists, in real-time, while the patient is exercising, quantitative information extracted from the ongoing session and the previous ones, which can help them to make more informed decisions related to the current rehabilitation session. This is expected to improve the overall effectiveness of rehabilitation.

Abstract

A therapist relies on his/her experience and knowledge to define the most suitable rehabilitation program for the patient and tune it on the actual patient status. Here we propose a non-intrusive method, based on AR, which allows to provide therapists, in real-time, while the patient is exercising, quantitative information extracted from the ongoing session and the previous ones, which can help them to make more informed decisions related to the current rehabilitation session. This is expected to improve the overall effectiveness of rehabilitation.
