THE POSTER WE PREPARED SUMMARIZE ONE OF THE RESEARCH TOPICS DEVELOPED IN OUR GROUP. THE PROJECT IS CALLED SUNFLOAT AND IT IS IN COLLABORATION WITH POLYTECHNIQUE MONTREAL. OUR MISSION IS TO OBTAIN CLEAN WATER FOR EVERYONE ACCORDING TO SOME GOALS OF THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT AGENDA. HERE, PHOTOCATALYSIS CHALLENGES THE OBTACLES TOWARDS THE SUSTAINABILITY THANKS TO AN APPROACH BASED ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF SUSTAINABLE ADVANCED FLOATING MATERIALS FOR WASTEWATER REMEDIATION. IN OUR PROJECT, DIFFERENT ECO-FRIENDLY DEVICES ARE FIRSTLY PREPARED BY LOW COST AND ECO-FRIENDLY SOURCES. THE OBTAINED MATERIALS ARE THEN CHARACTERIZED BY TARGETED TECHNIQUES TO WELL UNDERSTAND THE MAIN BULK/SURFACE PROPERTIES AND THEY ARE FINALLY TESTED IN THE ABATEMENT OF DYES, DRUGS, POLYPHENOLS THAT ARE POLLUTING SPECIES COMMONLY PRESENT IN REAL WATERS. IN THIS WAY, WE TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE POWER OF THE SUN FOR CLEANING REAL WATERS AND SO, CONTRIBUTING TO AN EVEN MORE GREEN ENVIRONMENT!
