Abstract

Decoding the material evidence of Etruscan sacred areas involves a broad investigative perspective on the different factors at play and on recurring phenomena. This in order to clarify the relational dynamics that could be established between production, clients, and the destination of the sacred. Starting from the experience of the 'monumental complex' of Tarquinia, this contribution aims at reflecting upon these matters in a number of fields of research and upon concrete case studies.
