Verso una nuova Geopolitica

For more than 30 years, the word “Geopolitics” has been back in the common and academic language. However, problems for a redefinition of the epistemological status of this scientific discipline, after the crisis of “classical Geopolitics” and the contradictory developments of “neo-Geopolitics”, remain abundant. In Italy, the seminal work edited by Edoardo Boria and Matteo Marconi, Geopolitics from Thought to Action, Space and Politics in the Contemporary Age (2022), attempted to deal with these problems. Analyzing the long reflection on Geopolitics, it identifies links and constants running through the geopolitical discourse on the space-power-politics-conflict relationship, suggesting possible and original ways for a scientific reshaping of a discipline that remains fundamental in the analysis of the relationship between space and politics.
