The presentation investigates the role of emotions in the religious experience of ecstatic prophecy. By analyzing the heresiological accounts on Montanist ecstasy, I will try to describe the dynamics of interaction between performance and elicitation of emotions within the boundaries of religious experiences and practices.

Abstract
The presentation investigates the role of emotions in the religious experience of ecstatic prophecy.
