Sull'edizione nazionale dei classici greci e latini

This paper sheds new light on Giorgio Pasquali’s editorial contribution to the series Scriptores Graeci et Latini, the collection of critical editions of Greek and Roman texts established in the 1930s under the supervision of the Reale Accademia dei Lincei. The first part provides the first edition of three letters by Pasquali, complete with some explanatory remarks. These documents show how Pasquali came to define the project’s editorial guidelines. The second part offers a new edition of these Norme per i collabo- ratori, partly based on Pasquali’s own corrections to the relevant typescript, a fragment of which is preserved in the Archivio Pasquali at the Accademia della Crusca. This little- known fragment helps elucidate Pasquali’s thoughts concerning editorial techniques.
