Zygomatic implants are successful alternatives to conventional dental implants for oral rehabilitation of patients with severely atrophic maxillae; however, the use of unilateral zygomatic implants needs to be studied further to validate their efficacy. The present investigation aimed to evaluate unilateral zygomatic implant placement in the oral rehabilitation of partially edentulous patients with extremely atrophic maxillary bone and/or previous implant failures.

Abstract

Zygomatic implants are successful alternatives to conventional dental implants for oral rehabilitation of patients with severely atrophic maxillae; however, the use of unilateral zygomatic implants needs to be studied further to validate their efficacy. The present investigation aimed to evaluate unilateral zygomatic implant placement in the oral rehabilitation of partially edentulous patients with extremely atrophic maxillary bone and/or previous implant failures.
