The present paper examines Peirce’s view of cooperative and dialogical logic, and approaches Novaes’s book from such a pragmatist perspective. It aims (1) to emphasize the points of resemblances between Peirce’s and Novaes’s philosophical attempts, and (2) to raise questions about the (conceivable) consequences of Novaes’s conceptual genealogy of deduction.
