This essay focuses on the digital live performance of Alexander Eisenach’s Anthropos, Tyrann (Ödipus), a play which points out the responsibilities of Anthropos towards the environment, the Earth and its whole population, but also deals with the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic. The live streaming of the première, which took place during the German lockdown in February 2021, and the use of a 360 camera allow an analysis of the dramatic limits as well as of the possibilities this technical solution offers.

This essay focuses on the digital live performance of Alexander Eisenach’s Anthropos, Tyrann (Ödipus), a play which points out the responsibilities of Anthropos towards the environment, the Earth and its whole population, but also deals with the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic.
