In the last ten years the sporting practice known as CrossFit has grown all over the world in numbers and visibility, and Italy is no exception in this trend. In the face of this, little attention has been paid to drawing a social profile of practitioners. The present work takes a step in this direction, through the results of a survey. In addition to some socio-cultural characteristics of practitioners, some data relating to the importance of the community, the digitization of the practice and gender issues are presented.

Abstract
