近代中国東北部における農業水利組織(1913～1943年) : 撫順県を事例に = The Organizationof Paddy Field Irrigationin Modern Northeast China (1913–1943): The Caseof Fushun County

This case study concerning Fushun County, Fengtian Province, analyzes the evo-lution of the organization devoted to the paddy field irrigation in Northeast China during thefirst half of the 20th century. The aim of this study is to clarify the historical context be-hind the formation of water irrigation associations while under the rule of the puppet state ofManchukuo. As rivers served as the main source of water for the paddy fields in Manchuria,particular attention will be paid to the hydrological features of rivers in Fushun, and howpeasants coped with the flooding and droughts that frequently beleaguered this area.
