This speech aims at presenting ongoing research conducted on retellings by comparing subsequent interviews with second generation German-speakers in Israel, i.e. selected first narratives taken by Anne Betten 2001-2006 (see e.g. Betten 2010, 2011, 2014, 2016) and second ones taken by me 2019. The interviews were gathered within the frame of the so-called Israel Corpus project (cfr. DGD, IDS Mannheim), which can also be considered as an oral history archive.
