Minima per Isabella Andreini e le arti figurative

Isabella Andreini (1562-1604) had an important role in the Italian theater in the second half of the Fifteenth Century. The artist performed for many years with the compagnia dei Gelosi (and degli Uniti), but she wasn’t only an appreciated performer. She was also an able and innovative writer. She was at the center of the cultural life of Milan and was in touch with several Italian and foreign scholars, writers and artists.

Isabella Andreini (1562-1604) ha rivestito un ruolo significativo nell’ambito del teatro italiano della seconda metà del Cinquecento. L’artista calcò con grande successo il palcoscenico, insieme alla compagnia dei Gelosi (e degli Uniti); ma non fu solo un’apprezzata performer, dimostrandosi capace, lei stessa, di realizzare componimenti virtuosi e innovativi. Essa fu al centro della vita culturale lombarda della sua epoca, stringendo contatti con letterati, scrittori e artisti, anche stranieri.
