This report presents a two-year project started in 2011 and promoted by 20 municipalities of the middle and upper lowlands of Bergamo and by the Plis Basso Brembo Park. The project was co-financed by the Cariplo Foundation. The aim of this work is to propose an ecological network between the rivers of Brembo and Adda and the Monte Canto mountain. A bio-indicator approach was used to reshape the ecological network. A pool of focal species (vascular plants, amphibians, reptiles and birds) was selected to measure environmental richness and quality. The result is a local ecological network, called R.E.T.I., that identifies the main functional ecological elements (core areas, corridors, ecomosaics) and the most critical areas. Plans for 32 critical spots have been finally realized.

Abstract
Plans for 32 critical spots have been finally realized.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
