The 15th edition of the Triennale di Milano, of which the artist Remo Brindisi was nominated chairman, was inaugurated in 1973. The project of the set up of Palazzo dell'Arte's foyer was entrusted to Milan based architect and designer Nanda Vigo, who was also involved – in the same period - in the construction of the Brindisi’s museum - house in Lido di Spina, a seaside spot near Comacchio (Ferrara). This building was design for serving two purposes, hosting the painter's contemporary art collection and becoming a holiday home for his family. The presentation of this project, the relationship with the project of Nanda Vigo for the Triennale and its contextualization in the debate of the time, offer the opportunity to deal with themes that are still relevant today.
