The article offers a theoretical contribution for reading women’s process of separation from the ’ndrangheta through an innovative approach. First, it highlights how the condition of vulnerability can represent a heuristic tool useful for taking the distance from the Mafia. Afterwards it wonders about the risks of paternalism inherent in interventions of support for these women, suggesting that they should be elaborated within the horizon of the care’s ethics and relational autonomy

L’articolo offre un contributo teorico volto a leggere in modo innovativo il fenomeno del processo di separazione di alcune donne dalla ’ndrangheta. Dapprima mette in luce come la condizione di vulnerabilità possa rappresentare uno strumento euristico utile a prendere le distanze dal dispositivo mafioso. Successivamente, si interroga sui rischi di paternalismo insiti negli interventi di supporto preposti per queste donne, suggerendo che essi andrebbero elaborati entro l’orizzonte dell’etica della cura e dell’autonomia relazionale.
