New improved protocols have been introduced in otoneuroradiology, allowing a shorter test time, a greater resolution of all the anatomical structures of the ear and a low radiation exposure, especially for pediatric studies. The identification of the site of lesion is essential to the choice of different rehabilitative strategies for rehabilitation of hearing loss. This chapter will descrive the state of the art of CT/MRI investigation for the assessment of the peripheral and central auditory pathways before cochlear implantation, including malformation pathologies or syndromic patients. The benefits of imaging in the treatment of sudden sensorineural hearing loss and Ménière's disease will be also discussed.
