The photon echo in the super-radiant light scattering from a Bose-Einstein condensate was discussed. It was demonstrated that the dephasing can be reversed applying a Bragg pulse of area π after the first superradiant scattering. The stimulation of superradiant echo and the inducement of further transfer of atoms from the initial condensate with relative momentum in the direction of the laser were also elaborated.

Abstract

The photon echo in the super-radiant light scattering from a Bose-Einstein condensate was discussed. It was demonstrated that the dephasing can be reversed applying a Bragg pulse of area π after the first superradiant scattering. The stimulation of superradiant echo and the inducement of further transfer of atoms from the initial condensate with relative momentum in the direction of the laser were also elaborated.
